Students will have a choice of accommodation, either in the New Halls of Residence or in Head Lease properties, which are managed by the college. Carrock Halls of Residence

Carrock Hall provides 85 en suite rooms in 13 flats, each flat accommodates between 5 and 8 students and has a shared kitchen and communal area. The weekly cost for 2005/06 will be £70.00 per week including bills. Students can also take advantage of special catering deals.

Ensuite Study Bedrooms

These are all single rooms and contain a wardrobe, bedside cabinet, desk, chair, desk lamp, book shelves and noticeboards. The en suite bathroom has a toilet, wash hand basin with mirror and shelf above and shower. We have specially adapted rooms for those students with mobility difficulties and those with hearing impairment.

Each flat has a shared fully fitted kitchen with electric cooker, fridge, freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster. There is either a breakfast bar or dining table and chairs plus a communal area.

Laundry
- Carrock Hall has a coin operated laundry on site for students convenience.
Security
- We have 24 hour security staff, 7 days a week, who are assisted by strategically placed CCTV cameras.
On Site Bar
- There is a modern style café bar open all day, with a full licence, providing snacks, hot and cold drinks. It also has a pool table and wide screen TV and hosts many social events.
Sports Complex
- We have a newly built Sports Arena on site which is an excellent recreational facility. It has 4 badminton courts and is ideal for netball, basketball and indoor football. There is also a fully equipped fitness room containing joggers, steppers, rowers and bikes as well as a variety of resistance machines..

Head Lease Properties These are houses in the local area, which the college rents on your behalf. You pay the rent to the college and the accommodation officer acts as your landlord. The houses are all within easy walking distance of college. They are all accredited with Carlisle City Council, which means that the house will have been inspected and that certain safety features are in place. Weekly rents range from £38.00-£50.00 plus bills.

All bedrooms in head lease properties are furnished with the minimum of a bed, wardrobe, drawers, desk and chair. All properties have at least one bathroom with a shower. The kitchens contain a cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster and automatic washing machine. Many provide cutlery, crockery and pans.
