Banks and accounts
Banks are always keen to secure the custom of students as they believe you are likely to stay with the same bank for life. They have many tempting offers to lure you to their account, however you should shop around and choose the account that meets your needs. Do not choose a bank purely because it is nearest to your house or because the freebies are most tempting; it is better to
find one which will allow you time to repay your overdraft when you graduate.
Here are the offers on student accounts from some of the best-known banks for the year 2004/5.
